The Wake League celebrated the 90th birthday of the League of Women Voters with high tea at The Heritage. Sandwiches, desserts and tea were served to the 30 members attending. Jo Nicholas and Marylou Bernett came from Moore County League with a presentation of Carrie Catt's involvement in the suffrage movement and inception of the League. We followed their presentation with a sing-along of suffrage songs. The music sheet and tunes can be downloaded from the members only section of LWVNC's web site.
