Hello Friends!
The League Member profile blog took a break over the pandemic! Now that we are just starting to see one another, face to face again, the Membership Committee would like to update the existing profiles (it has been 3 years!) or to create new ones for our members to become better acquainted with League Leaders. League Leaders can be committee co-chairs or anyone who is leading a League effort or project.
I am happy to work on this and this is how it works---I send a short questionnaire to you and you return it to me with a preferred photo. I will write a brief profile and send it back to you for editing/correcting. I will take your edited version and send it to Jenny Kotora Lynch for posting. Then, voila: members can become better aware of other members, their interests, and their work for the League.
The questionnaire, to get you thinking:
1. Tell us a little about yourself—family, career, hobbies, history, etc.
2. When and perhaps why did you become involved with the League of Women Voters?
3. What special League projects and/or initiatives have you been personally involved with and which League efforts are you the most proud of?
4. What would you like to see the League accomplish in the near (3-5 years) future?
5. What advice can you offer new League members to make their experience gratifying?
TO BE QUOTED: Can you provide a statement (a line or two) about what being a member of the League means to you or why the work of the League is important?
PHOTO needed: Either I can take one at one of our next gatherings or you can send a preferred one. Thanks!
Do you object to sharing your profile on the League’s Facebook page? Circle NO or YES.
This is to offer you a context to be thinking about. I will send a regular word document to each of you in the next week or so.
I hope to hear from you so I don't have to move into nag mode....it's not pretty! LOL
Looking forward to hearing from you all!
