DEI Round Table Discussion- The Wealth Gap
About this event
The Wealth Gap
Wealth inequality, also known as the wealth gap, is the unequal distribution of assets among residents. Wealth commonly includes the values of any homes, automobiles, personal valuables, businesses, savings, and investments, minus any associated debts. In the U.S. the difference between the very small percentage of Americans with extreme wealth and the rest of the population continues to increase. Since the beginning of the Covid pandemic, that gap has increased rapidly.
The Racial Wealth Gap
Hidden in plain sight for more than a century is the insidious racial wealth gap. The difference in wealth between whites and people of color in this country has always existed, and the gap is increasing.
Join us for the April DEI Round Table for what promises to be an enlightening conversation about why the wealth gap exists and what can be done about it.
