WE ARE AVAILABLE TO SPEAK TO YOUR GROUP!

The League has trained teams of presenters prepared to speak at your event. This is usually a free service that we offer to the community. Just let us know what your group is interested in learning about. The following are just a few of the topics we regularly cover:

Votes for Women! The Fight for Suffrage & the Founding of the League in North Carolina

Writing Effective Letters to the Editor: Strategies for Getting Published

Speak Out: The Basics of Presenting Remarks at Government Hearings

Defending Democracy: The Basics of Advocacy
Your Vote, Your Voice: Voting in North Carolina

Voting is Your Superpower: The Potential Power of a Younger Generation’s Vote

Your Vote, Your Voice: The Importance of Voting in National, State, and (Especially) Local Elections
You Count: The Importance of the Census and How it Works

It’s About Time: The Need for the Equal Rights Amendment

Packed, Cracked, & Hijacked: Redistricting Reform in North Carolina

It’s Always a Good Time to Register to Vote or to Update Your Registration!

If you don’t see the topic you’re looking for listed here, we may still be able to help. The League can also provide keynote speakers and moderators for panels and forums. For more information, contact LWV-Wake President Cheryl Tung.
