Timely Topics- Article 5 and The Threat to the US Constitution
Join us for our October Timely Topic with guest speaker Dennis Burns, chair of the State Advisory Board of Common Cause NC
Mr. Burns will be discussing recent national efforts to revise the Constitution as well as the ramifications of these efforts and the recent Supreme Court’s Moore Vs. Harper case.
The session is free to League members and guests but registration is required. Attendees are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch as food will not be provided. There is ample parking and directional signage will lead attendees to the event space.
Common Cause is a non-partisan group that has advocated for improved paper based voting machines, battled against unrestricted campaign funding, and racially targeted voting restrictions and gerrymandered voting maps.
About the speaker
