Our Mission:

EMPOWERING VOTERS. DEFENDING DEMOCRACY.

The League of Women Voters of Wake County is a nonpartisan, grassroots political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. We never support or oppose any political party or candidate. Membership is open to anyone 16 years of age or older.

Just $38...

If you've donated during our end-of-year fundraising campaign, thank you for your contribution.

But we still need your support to make it to our $5,000 goal, and we only have a few days left.

We just need 68 members to donate $38 by Tuesday,  December 31, to make that goal.

Sure, you can spend $38 in other ways, like 38 bags of Flamin' Hot Lays Chips, eight Venti Cafe Lattes at Starbucks or four Breakfast Bowls at The Flying Biscuit.

But chips, lattes and breakfast bowls don't go toward operating expenses and Voter Girl programs.

LWV-Wake is primarily member funded. All donations to LWV-Wake are tax-deductible.

Click on the link below and please support the important work of LWV-Wake.

Timely Topics: Analysis of the 2024 General Election

Join us for the premiere of the 2025 Timely Topics series on Tuesday, January 15 at 5:00 p.m.

This Zoom presentation will feature guest speaker and Executive Director of the NC State Board of Elections (NCSBE) Karen Brinson Bell. Ms. Bell has served in the NCSBE position since June, 2019. She has worked in elections administration since 2006 in county, state and national roles.

As North Carolina's chief elections official, Ms. Bell leads about 65 full-time employees at the state agency, which is charged with administering elections and campaign finance compliance. The agency also oversees 100 county boards of elections, ensuring that voting goes smoothly for more than 7.8 million voters in the state.

Register to receive Zoom credentials to attend this very important, and timely, event!
